Alexis Alexander

English Language Arts Teacher at Para Los Niños

Alexis Alexander is an experienced educator and community advocate with a strong background in teaching and educational support. Currently serving as an English Language Arts Teacher and Reading Decathlon Coach at Para Los Niños since August 2019, Alexis has also contributed to Teach For America as a Corps Member from June 2019 to June 2021, being selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants. Previous roles include ReadersPLUS Program Coordinator and Literacy/Math Tutor at the USC Joint Educational Project, as well as legal assistance positions at Bet Tzedek Legal Services and AmeriCorps. Alexis holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California, studied at the University of Melbourne, and completed a Master’s degree in Urban Education from Loyola Marymount University, focusing on Educational Policy and Administration.
