Marcel Reurs

Marcel Reurs is a seasoned attorney-at-law serving as a partner at Everaert Advocaten Immigration Lawyers since January 1996. In addition to this role, Marcel holds the position of Grow Advocate at paradiGM Community from June 2021 and has been a developer and teacher in Immigration Law for the Dutch Bar Professional Education Program since May 2014. Marcel's editorial contributions to immigration law include being the Editorial Board Chief for Sdu, co-editor-in-chief of the Commentary on the Dutch Immigration Directive, and editor in chief of the Journal on Dutch Immigration Law. Previous experience includes membership on the Appeal Advisory Committee for the municipality of Waterland from 2002 to 2011 and serving as co-editor and case annotator for Ars Aequi from 2003 to 2009. Marcel earned a law degree from the University of Amsterdam from 1989 to 1995 and completed VWO at Waterlant College from 1983 to 1989.
