Matt Johnson

Matthew Johnson is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in various prominent firms. Since October 2022, Matthew serves as the Head of Tax at Paradigm. Prior to this role, Matthew was a Partner and Senior Tax Counsel at SoftBank Investment Advisers from January 2018 to October 2022, where involvement focused on investments in technology aimed at fostering progress for humanity. Matthew's earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Manager in M&A Tax at KPMG and as a Senior Tax Consultant at Deloitte, specializing in multistate tax planning. Earlier positions included Law Clerk roles at Snider, Diehl, & Rasmussen, LLP and the California Department of Personnel Administration, as well as a Litigation Paralegal at McDermott Will & Emery, LLP. Matthew holds a J.D. with a Tax Concentration from the University of the Pacific - McGeorge School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from UC Irvine.
