Connor Dickie has extensive experience in research and development roles, focusing primarily on the fields of biotechnology, genetic engineering, and human-computer interaction. Connor co-founded and served as CEO of Synbiota Inc., where they worked on collaborative, decentralized biotech projects and drove the adoption of consumer genetic engineering. Additionally, they worked at Queen's University as a research principle, contributing to the design and development of the Attentive User Interface paradigm. Connor also served as a fellow at Synberc, advising government officials on decentralized bio-manufacturing and crowdsourced research. Furthermore, they worked at Mozilla Labs, leading a distributed team in the development of GENtle 2, an open-source DNA development tool. Prior to that, they founded Kameraflage Inc., where they were responsible for the invention, commercialization, and patenting of novel display technology. Connor has also held positions at InteraXon Inc., Gamania Digital Entertainment, and MIT, where they conducted research on brain-computer interfaces and human-computer interaction.

Connor Dickie has a Master's level education from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they studied at the MIT Media Lab in the field of Media Arts & Science. Prior to their Master's degree, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film, Media, & Human Computer Interaction from Queen's University. In addition to their formal education, Connor has also obtained a certification in the Graduate Studies Program (GSP-10) from Singularity University.
