Chief Design Officer at Parallux

Kris Layng began their work experience in 2010 as an Assistant Editor at EpixHD - Studio 3 Partners. They then worked as an Editorial Production Assistant at New Line Cinema LLC in 2011, followed by an Office Production Assistant at Universal Pictures. In 2012, Kris became an Art Department Assistant at Paramount Pictures, and in 2013, they worked as an Art Department Assistant at HBO. From 2014 to 2016, Kris worked as a Design Consultant at Tiffany & Co. They then joined Viacom as a Concept Artist in 2016 and later joined Netflix as an Art Director/Concept Artist in 2017. In 2018, Kris started working as a Creative Director at NYU Future Reality Lab and also became the Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer at Parallux, a creative technology company. Kris is currently serving as the Chief Design Officer at Parallux. Throughout their career, Kris has gained experience in various creative and technical roles in the entertainment industry, developing immersive experiences and collaborating with notable companies like Google, Bose, Unity, and Magic Leap.

Kris Layng completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Film and TV Production from New York University from 2005 to 2009. Later, Kris pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Design for Stage and Film at the same university from 2013 to 2016.
