Akil Gibbons

Akil Gibbons is a seasoned producer and director with extensive experience in the film and television industry. Currently serving as a Producer at Paramount Pictures since January 2024, Gibbons previously held the position of Director at Strike Anywhere, leading campaigns for major clients including HBO and Google. Notable achievements include producing for TIME on multi-part documentaries and receiving an Emmy nomination for directing and producing the pilot episode of HBO's "Level Playing Field." Gibbons has also produced award-winning specials for BET Networks and worked as an associate producer for The Daily Show on Comedy Central. Additional roles at VICE Media and Netflix, among others, showcase a diverse skill set in front of and behind the camera, complemented by a bachelor's degree in Film and socio-political science from Hampshire College.
