Senior Director, Medical Publications at Paratek

Kelly W. has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Kelly started their career as an intern at Boston Medical Center in 2001 and worked there until 2005. Kelly then completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at VA Connecticut HealthCare Systems from 2005 to 2006. Kelly continued their training with a PGY2 in Infectious Diseases at Boston Medical Center from 2006 to 2007.

Kelly then transitioned into a management role as a Clinical Manager in Infectious Diseases at NewYork Presbyterian from 2007 to 2012. Kelly further expanded their expertise as an Infectious Diseases-Clinical Specialist at Boston Medical Center from 2012 to 2015.

In 2015, they joined Theravance Biopharma US, Inc. as a Medical Science Liaison for the Northeast region, a role they held until 2017. Kelly then joined Achaogen as a Senior Medical Scientist in Medical Affairs, where they were responsible for developing a Scientific Plan and engaging with Thought Leaders and Healthcare Providers. Kelly'svarious responsibilities included supporting the Medical Affairs Department, conducting Investigator Initiated Research, creating materials for the Field Team, and leading advisory boards. Kelly worked at Achaogen from 2017 to 2019.

Most recently, they have been with Paratek Pharmaceuticals. Kelly started as a Director in Medical Science and Publications in 2019 and was promoted to Senior Director in the same department in 2022.

Kelly W. completed their high school education at Randolph High School from 1995 to 1999, obtaining a high school diploma. Kelly then pursued higher education at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences from 1999 to 2005, earning a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree with a specialization in Pharmacy. In addition to their formal education, Kelly has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In January 2008, they became a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist through the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP). Recently, in October 2021, they received the certification of Certified Medical Publication Professionalâ„¢ from the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP). Furthermore, in December 2021, they obtained the title of Board Certified Medical Affairs Specialist from the Accreditation Council for Medical Affairs (ACMA).
