Joseph Kim has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Joseph began their career as a Clinical Staff Pharmacist at CPS Pharmacy from 1995 to 1997. Joseph then worked as a Clinical Pharmacist at PharMerica from 1998 to 2000. Following that, they joined Pharsight Corporation as a Consulting Scientist and Trainer from 2000 to 2002. Joseph then moved to GSK and served as the Director of Clinical Pharmacology Modeling & Simulation from 2002 to 2015. During this time, they worked on various stages of clinical trials and gained expertise in diverse therapeutic areas. Currently, Joseph holds the position of Senior Director and Vice President - Quantitative Clinical Development at Parexel, where they continue their work in clinical pharmacology, PK modeling, and simulation.
Joseph Kim earned a PhD in Clinical Pharmacy/Pharmacokinetics from the University of the Pacific in 2000. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Clinical Pharmacy from Kyung Hee University from 1985 to 1987, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pharmacy from the same university from 1981 to 1985. In addition to their formal education, Joseph Kim has also obtained certifications in various areas such as Executive Presence on Video Conference Calls, Finance for Non-Financial Managers, and Financial Analysis: Introduction to Business Performance Analysis, all from LinkedIn in 2020.
