Sam Gobrail

Sam Gobrail has a diverse work experience. In 2002, they founded MONA GOBRAIL COUNSELING SERVICES, a psychology practice focused on marital counseling and mental health services. Sam served as the Chief Operating Officer, overseeing strategic direction, operations, and marketing. Sam successfully grew the company over the past two decades.

In 2010, Sam started Gobrail Photography and became the owner. Sam continues to manage this business.

From 2013 to 2015, Sam worked at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services as a Contract Specialist. Sam designed and implemented nationwide acquisition programs and managed multi-million dollar contracts.

Sam also has experience in strategic consulting. Sam worked as a Consultant for The Kogod School of Business at American University in 2013, conducting a strategic review and presenting findings to top management.

In 2015, Sam joined Arc Aspicio as a Senior Associate and Program Manager, and later in 2017, they joined ASI Government as a Director of Emerging Tech, Strategy, and Acquisition, where they taught courses on IT acquisition best practices.

In 2018, Sam became the owner of Sign Of The Whale, a bar in DC, but this venture was ultimately unsuccessful.

From 2017 to 2020, Sam worked at ASI Government as a Strategic Advisor, specializing in emerging technology.

In 2020, Sam joined Pariveda Solutions as a Senior Director of Product and Technology.

In 2021, Sam took on new roles. Sam became an Executive Board Member at Sandy Spring Museum, supporting community-driven cultural arts and educational programs. Sam also became a Board Member at JUST TRYAN IT, an organization that empowers healthy kids to help sick children in their community.

Sam Gobrail has a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from the American University Washington College of Law. They also hold a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General, from the American University - Kogod School of Business. Their undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics and Political Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. In addition to their formal education, Sam has obtained various certifications including AWS Partner: Generative AI Essentials (Business) from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2023, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from AWS in 2023, AWS Partner: Accreditation (Technical) from AWS in 2022, ITIL Intermediate Service Transition from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2017, ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2017, and Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute in 2017.
