Grant Brown

Grant Brown has gained significant experience in the banking industry, spanning over 15 years. Grant began their career at Carolina First Bank in 2005, working as a Credit Analyst - Banking Officer for three years. In 2008, they joined Forest Commercial Bank as a Commercial Services Officer - Vice President, where they completed financial analysis and credit packages for commercial credits, formulated credit policies and procedures, and assisted in regulatory exams. In 2014, Forest Commercial Bank merged with Carolina Alliance Bank, and Grant's job title changed to Credit Analyst - Vice President. Grant continued their responsibilities of completing financial analysis and credit packages, formulating credit policies and procedures, and assisting in regulatory exams. In 2017, they took on the role of Credit Risk Manager - Vice President at Park National Bank, where they facilitated credit portfolio reporting and analytics, identified and reported significant credit risks, and collaborated with the business line to establish strong risk management controls. Grant also contributed to the enhancement and modification of the bank's loan review and appraisal process, and developed methodologies for credit risk management and monitoring. Currently, Grant serves as the Commercial Credit Market Manager - Vice President at Park National Bank. In this role, they manage credit analysts in multiple locations, oversees their training and duties, sets performance goals, and conducts performance reviews. Grant collaborates with senior management to find customer solutions within the bank's credit risk appetite, ensure risk mitigation processes, and maintain appropriate credit staffing. Grant also provides environmental due diligence services for the entire bank's footprint.

Grant Brown has a BA degree in Politics from Wake Forest University, which they earned from 2001 to 2005. Grant also attended the NCBA School of Banking from 2009 to 2013. Currently, they are attending the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking, with an expected graduation year of 2025.
