James Earp started their career in 2004 as an ICT Technician at Tapcast Ltd. James then worked as an ICT Officer at Bromsgrove District Council from 2007 to 2011, where they were responsible for delivering projects and providing support to end users. From 2011 to 2017, James worked as a Technical Consultant at Prestige Systems Limited, delivering key projects to various customers. In 2017, they became a Level 3 Managed Services Consultant at Park Place Technologies, where they acted as an unofficial Team Lead and escalation point for the Wintel team. In January 2021, they were officially promoted to the role of DMSO Engineer Team Lead, managing a team of Level 3 Wintel engineers and influencing the direction of the Managed Services department.
James Earp attended New College Bromsgrove from 2002 to 2004, where they obtained a National Diploma for IT Practitioners. James then continued their education at the same college from 2004 to 2006, earning a Higher National Certificate in Computing. In addition to their formal education, James has obtained various certifications, including AZ-900 Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, PRINCE2® Registered Practitioner Certificate, VMware Certified Professional (VCP-550), Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), ITIL Version 3 Foundation, and Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT).
