Akira Townes, MPH has a diverse work experience in the field of diversity, equity, and inclusion. They have held roles such as Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at The Park School of Baltimore, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Fellow, Graduate Student Teaching Assistant at the University of Washington, and Administrative Coordinator at Changing Lives at Home Mental Health Services Inc. They have also served as a Service Learning Fellow at The Choice Program at UMBC.
Akira Townes, MPH, graduated in 2017 from Bates College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. They later went on to earn their Master of Public Health (MPH) in Community Oriented Health Practices from the University of Washington School of Public Health in 2021.
