Barry Grubbs

Barry Grubbs has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Barry most recently worked at South State Bank as a Commercial Portfolio Manager, VP, where they managed the existing commercial loan portfolio, underwrote new loans, and participated in joint sales calls to expand the portfolio. Prior to this, they held a similar role at Park Sterling Bank, where they also served as a Senior Credit Analyst and a Credit Analyst, VP, and was responsible for underwriting commercial transactions and analyzing credit worthiness. Earlier in their career, Barry worked at Wachovia Bank as a Community Real Estate Market Underwriter, AVP, and at SouthTrust Bank as a Commercial Account Manager and a Credit Analyst/Appraisal Review. Barry started their career as a Consumer Banker at Bank of America and also worked as an Assistant Manager at Walmart. Overall, Barry has gained extensive experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, and portfolio management.

Barry Grubbs obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management, with a major in General Business, from Clemson University. Barry attended the university from 1993 to 1997.
