Dr. Joseph Seabrooks was appointed as President at the Dallas College Cedar Valley Campus in September 2016. Cedar Valley College is a comprehensive college campus that serves over 9,000 students. The campus is well-known for its 352 rolling acres and outstanding curriculum, including Veterinary Technology, Commercial Music, Automotive Technology, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Performing and Visual Arts, and four-year University Transfer programs. Before Dallas College, Dr. Seabrooks served as President of two campuses in the Metropolitan Community College (MCC) District located in Kansas City, Missouri. Before joining MCC, he served as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. His career began at his alma mater, the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he served in various roles from 1993-2004. Dr. Seabrooks holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s and Educational Specialist degree in Higher Education Administration, and an Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Urban Leadership, Policy Studies, and Education Administration, all earned from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
