Marcela Zapata

Marcela Zapata has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of Human Resources. Marcela is currently the Head of Human Resources at ParkHub, where they are responsible for building the company's Human Capital Strategy and overseeing all HR practices, including HR M&A. Prior to their current role, Marcela worked as the Director of Talent Operations at Atlantic Street Capital Advisors, LLC from 2019 to 2022. Marcela also briefly served as the Managing Director at CTRL HR in 2019.

Marcela's previous experience includes roles such as Enterprise Director of Human Resources at Alltran from 2017 to 2019, where they developed and implemented HR integration plans for multiple acquired subsidiaries. Marcela also worked at NTT DATA Services from 2016 to 2017 as the Senior Director/VP Human Capital - International Business, contributing to the acquisition of Dell Services and leading HR operations in the assigned region.

Earlier in their career, Marcela held leadership positions at Expert Global Solutions (now Alorica) as the VP of Human Resources for Alorica and Transworld Systems Inc. Marcela provided support for the integration of APAC Customer Services and NCO Financial Systems. Marcela also worked at Hewlett Packard from 2008 to 2012 as the Director of Americas Employee Relations, leading HR support and investigations, and played a key role in the integration process following the EDS acquisition.

Their career began at Electronic Data Systems in 2000, where Marcela held various roles, including Director of Human Resources Operations, Human Resources Leader, Manager of Compensation & Benefits, and Manager of Human Resources. Marcela contributed to the design and implementation of HR call centers and shared services HR organizations.

Marcela Zapata completed their Master of Liberal Studies in Organizational Dynamics from Southern Methodist University from 2015 to 2017. Marcela also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources and Public Relations from Universidad de Morón (Oficial).

In terms of additional certifications, Marcela obtained a Court Interpreter certification from the University of Houston-Downtown in August 2018. Marcela also obtained a Leadership Development Profile certification from the Center for Creative Leadership in February 2002.

Recently, they acquired two more certifications. In August 2021, Marcela completed the course "An Introduction to People Analytics - Building a Talent Advantage" from Stanford University. Additionally, in November 2021, they obtained a certification in Mergers and Acquisitions from LinkedIn.
