Mark Clanton, M.D., M.P.H. has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the healthcare industry. Mark served as the Chief Medical Officer at Parkland Community Health Plan since 2020. Prior to that, they were the Sr. Medical Director at Radiant, LLC, Accenture Clinical, and Health Management from 2019. Mark also held the position of Chief Medical Officer at Accenture Operations from 2015, where they were responsible for quality assurance, analytics, and physician prior authorization review. Additionally, they served as a Strategic Advisor at the California Breast Cancer Research Program from 2019. Mark has also held advisory and board member roles in organizations such as The Conference Board, the National Council of the Institute of Public Health, Washington University, and the KU Cancer Center. Dr. Clanton's expertise and experience are an asset to any healthcare organization.

Mark Clanton, M.D., M.P.H. completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Howard University, where they studied from 1974 to 1978. Mark then attended Tulane University School of Medicine from 1982 to 1985, earning their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. In 1989, Mark obtained their Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Mark further pursued their education in 1997 and 1998, earning a Certificate in Finance from the Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business, specializing in Corporate Finance.

In addition to their academic achievements, Mark obtained two certifications related to their medical career. In 1989, they became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics, and also became a Fellow of the American Academy Pediatrics during the same year.
