Darren Smart

Darren Smart is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in strategy and corporate development within the energy sector. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development, as well as Interim CFO at Parkland Corporation since January 2019, Darren has previously held key roles including Vice President of Strategy & Integration and Corporate Development at Parkland Fuel Corporation from August 2014 to December 2018. Prior to that, Darren was a Portfolio Manager in the Energy & Power Group at Teachers' Private Capital from June 2005 to July 2014 and held analyst and associate positions at Scotia Merchant Capital from October 1998 to June 2002. Academic credentials include an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BBA in Business Administration and Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University.
