Dr. Regina Williams, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, CCHP has a diverse work experience spanning over several healthcare organizations. Starting in 1994, they worked as a Registered Nurse at Parkland Hospital for 12 years, providing quality patient care and developing care plans. In 2006, they briefly served as a Research Nurse at UT Southwestern Medical Center, conducting assessments and enrolling clients into a study. Dr. Regina then returned to Parkland Hospital and took on various roles, including Clinical Case Manager, Nurse Recruiter, and Manager of Value Analysis. In 2012, they joined Children's Medical Center as the Director of Clinical Operations, overseeing strategic and clinical aspects of acute care services. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as the Director of Clinical Health Services at Aetna, a CVS Health Company. In 2020, they became the Chief Nurse Executive at Texas Health and Human Services. In 2021, they worked as the Chief Nursing Officer at Perimeter Behavioral Hospital before joining Parkland Health as the Director of Nursing in Correctional Health. Dr. Regina currently serves as the Senior Director of Nursing in Correctional Health at Parkland Health. Dr. Williams' experience highlights their expertise in clinical operations, leadership, and correctional health.

Dr. Regina Williams, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, CCHP completed their education at several esteemed institutions. Dr. Regina earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Capella University from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science in Nursing degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management at The University of Texas at Arlington between 2006 and 2011. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the same university from 2002 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Dr. Williams holds various certifications to enhance their professional capabilities. Dr. Regina is a Certified Correctional Health Professional - Registered Nurse (CCHP-RN) accredited by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care. Furthermore, they are a Nurse Executive Advanced - Board Certified, certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Lastly, they are also a registered nurse, overseen by the Texas Board of Nurses.
