Umber Dickerson

Umber Dickerson has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Starting in 2006, they worked as a Senior Business Analyst at UnitedHealth Group (OptumInsight) for seven years, focusing on data analysis and infrastructure development. In 2012, they transitioned to the Texas Health Institute as a Health Policy Analyst for several months. From 2013 to 2017, Umber worked at Texas Children's Hospital, where they held positions as a Senior Project Manager and Assistant Director of Business Operations & Strategic Planning. They then moved on to Legacy Community Health as the Senior Director of Operations for Clinical Integration from 2017 to 2019. Their most recent role was at Parkland Health, where they served as the Administrative Director of the Cancer Program from 2019 to 2022.

Umber Dickerson has a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Health Care Management and Policy from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston). Prior to that, Umber completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Relations and Spanish from Austin College. Additionally, Umber participated in a study abroad program at Universidad de Granada.
