John Steenhuisen MP currently serves as the Minister of Agriculture in the Republic of South Africa since July 2024. Steenhuisen has been a Member of Parliament since July 2010 and holds the position of Leader of the Official Opposition. Additionally, Steenhuisen has served as the Chief Whip of the Official Opposition in the Parliament of South Africa and represents the Ilembe constituency in KwaZulu-Natal. Education includes attendance at Northwood Boys High School and completion of a short course in African economic development at The London School of Economics and Political Science.
