Maria Makar

Maria Makar is an experienced tutor with a strong background in science and mathematics, currently serving as a Science and Math tutor at Parliament Tutors since January 2022. Previous roles include a 5th-grade intervention Science Tutor at Renaissance Academy Charter School and an Academic Tutor for student-athletes at the University of Central Florida. Maria has also contributed to various research projects as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at both the Biomechanics, Rehabilitation, and Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Laboratory and the NanoScience Technology Center at UCF. In addition to academic roles, Maria has extensive experience in the food service industry, including positions as a waitress at Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, and has worked as a sales representative at The Emporium in Magic Kingdom. Maria holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Central Florida and an Associate of Arts degree from Valencia College.
