David Olsen

David Olsen is currently Engineering Lead at Parpera. Prior to this, they were a Lead Mobile Developer at RACV from March 2020 to December 2020. Before that, they were a Mobile Engineer at ZX Ventures from December 2018 to February 2020, where they worked closely with product owner and UX designer to improve RateBeer's mobile apps and website. David also increased the release frequency of the mobile app by 50% and achieved 99.9% crash free users on Android. Additionally, they modernised the code base using latest best practices and assisted in the development of the website and back-end systems to support the mobile app.

From November 2015 to November 2018, David was a Software Engineer at Localz. During their time there, they designed and delivered multiple mobile and web application projects (React, React Native). David also steered a small team to deliver common modules for an internal application ecosystem. Furthermore, they architected a React Native app build pipeline for generating bespoke client builds at scale. Lastly, they participated in ongoing API development to aid application deliverables (Node, Mongo).

David Olsen has a Bachelor's Degree in Computing and Software Systems from the University of Melbourne, and they also attended Ivanhoe Grammar School.

Their manager is Daniel Cannizzaro, Founder & CEO. They work with Ahijith Chandra - Product Lead, Nathan Liu - CTO.
