Matthew Jay

Matthew Jay is an experienced high-performance manager in the rugby league sector, currently serving at the Parramatta Eels National Rugby League Club since October 2025. Previously held high-performance manager positions at the Newcastle Knights and New Zealand Rugby League. Matthew also has a strong background in athletic performance, having worked at the Wests Tigers and the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, where roles included head of athletic performance and various strength and conditioning positions. Educational qualifications include multiple master's degrees in applied clinical epidemiology, high-performance sport, and exercise science, complemented by a bachelor's degree in PDHPE and a diploma in fitness. Matthew's experience in educational settings includes roles as a PDHPE teacher and director of athletic development.
