Ian Archbell

Ian Archbell has over 40 years of experience in the technology industry. Ian began their career in 1980 at IBM, where they held various positions, including Product Manager for all enterprise systems products prior to and following the launch of the IBM PC in the UK. In 1988, they co-founded MMI Associates and e-partners, a successful start-up technology-marketing consultancy. In 2009, they became the General Manager of Positron Front Line, where they re-branded and re-launched the business in a SAAS model. In 2010, they were appointed Chief Marketing Officer at Tiburon Inc., where they revitalized the marketing mix, renewed the brand, messaging and positioning, and expanded demand generation. In 2012, they became the Investor and Founder of oddWires and IoT-Bus, developing a well-respected product and solutions based company from start-up to a thriving business. In 2018, they joined Particle as the Product Management Consultant and Group Product Manager, where they are now responsible for Particle's hardware portfolio and the Asset Tracking segment. Ian also holds the role of Product Management Embedded Platform, and has just completed a 'C' round.

Ian Archbell received an MBA in Business Administration from Cranfield School of Management in 1987. Prior to this, they attended Magdalen College School in England.
