Lisa Smith, LSS MBB

Lisa Smith has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple industries. Lisa is currently the Director of Quality Risk and Compliance at Partner Therapeutics. Prior to that, they worked at Sanofi Genzyme as a Risk Champion and Process Improvement Consultant for 2 years. Lisa also held the position of Associate Director at Dendreon where they focused on Quality Measurement and Risk Management for 6 years. Lisa has also worked at various other companies including Biogen, Pfizer, and Bespak in roles related to quality engineering and operational excellence. Lisa has a background in education as well, having served as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at the University of Washington. Their career began at W.L. Gore & Associates as a Quality Engineer in 1992 before moving onto roles at Herman Miller and Working Words, Inc. Overall, Lisa has a strong background in quality management, risk assessment, and process improvement.

Lisa Smith, LSS MBB, has an extensive education history. Lisa began their academic journey at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from 1980 to 1984. To further enhance their skills and knowledge in process improvement, Lisa pursued a Master Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma at North Carolina State University from 2007 to 2008.

Recognizing the importance of education and continuous learning, Lisa also obtained a Master of Arts in Education degree with a focus on Adult Education and Distance Learning from the University of Phoenix between 2004 and 2006.

In addition to their academic achievements, Lisa has pursued various certifications to supplement their expertise. These include "Becoming Assertive: Advocate for Your Interests," "Communicating with Emotional Intelligence," "Improving Your Listening Skills," and "Improving Your Conflict Competence" from LinkedIn. Lisa obtained these certifications in January 2023 and December 2020, respectively. Lisa also completed "The Coaching Habit (getAbstract Summary)" certification from LinkedIn in April 2021.
