Shawn Lillie

Scientist & Manager, Upstream Process Science at Partner Therapeutics

Shawn Lillie has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Shawn started their career as a Process Engineer and Project Engineer at Lafarge Cement from 2007 to 2009. Shawn then worked as an Upstream Process Development Associate at Aerotek (Contractor at Amgen) from 2010 to 2011. From 2011 to 2015, Shawn worked at Amgen, initially as a Process Development Associate and later as a Process Development Sr. Associate. During their time at Amgen, they focused on commercial process development and purification methods for proteins in clinical trials.

In 2015, Shawn joined Bristol-Myers Squibb as an Associate Scientist II, where they specialized in developing robust commercial processes for microbial and mammalian cell culture. Their responsibilities included conducting experiments in fermentors and bioreactors, as well as performing various purification process support techniques.

In 2019, Shawn joined Nohla Therapeutics as a Senior Associate Scientist for a brief period. Their most recent role has been at Partner Therapeutics since 2019, where they have held positions such as Associate Scientist, Staff Scientist, and currently, Scientist & Manager of Upstream Process Science.

Shawn Lillie's education history showcases a strong academic background in the field of science and engineering. In 2003, Shawn enrolled in Pierce College, where they studied subjects such as Math, Chemistry, and Physics. They completed their studies at Pierce College in 2005 and proceeded to enroll at the University of Washington in the same year. At the University of Washington, Shawn pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, which they obtained in 2007. They furthered their education at the University of Washington by pursuing a Master of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Bioengineering. This degree was successfully completed in 2012. Additionally, Shawn acquired a certification called "Laboratory to Leadership" from The Leadership Edge in October 2022.
