Joy Langford (She/Her)

Joy Langford has extensive experience in the legal field, with a focus on insurance and reinsurance litigations. JWith over 26 years of experience in the legal field, I am a seasoned litigator and executive who specializes in insurance and reinsurance law. I am passionate about providing strategic and effective legal counsel to PartnerRe, a leading global reinsurer that operates in more than 35 countries. I value integrity, excellence, and innovation, and I strive to foster a collaborative and diverse culture within the legal team and across the organization.

As the Executive Vice President, General Counsel Americas and Global Head of Litigation at PartnerRe, Joy oversee all aspects of litigation and arbitration for the PartnerRe Group globally, as well as manages all corporate legal affairs of the Americas regions. Her role at PartnerRe has allowed her to leverage her extensive knowledge and experience in handling complex and high-stakes disputes involving property, casualty, life, health, and financial reinsurance. She advises the senior management and the board of directors on various legal, regulatory, and compliance matters. Joy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Political Science from Mississippi College from 1987 to 1991. After completing her undergraduate studies, she attended Georgetown University Law Center from 1991 to 1994.
