Partners in School Innovation
CARRIE CIFKA-HERRERA, Ph.D., is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience in school innovation and teacher education. Currently serving as a School Innovation Partner at Partners in School Innovation since July 2013, CARRIE collaborates with district leaders, principals, and teachers to enhance leadership capabilities, create equity-centered systems for teacher professional learning, and develop robust instructional programs to significantly boost student achievement. Prior to this role, CARRIE was a lecturer in Teacher Education at UC Santa Cruz from September 2007 to May 2013. CARRIE holds a Ph.D. in Education and a Master’s degree in Education, both from the University of California, Santa Cruz, along with a K-8 CLAD Teaching Credential from San Jose State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Washington.
