Eduardo Bejarano

Eduardo Bejarano has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles.

From 2004 to 2010, they worked as a Risk and Security Analyst for Exclusive Analysis in London, specializing in political risk, terrorism, organized crime, and security issues in Colombia and Venezuela.

In 2004, they also held the position of Analyst for Strategic Planning at the Ministry of Defense in Colombia, where they supported the Deputy Minister of Institutional Management in conducting analysis on military operations and writing reports on defense and national security topics.

From 2005 to 2006, they served as the Secretary of Government for the Tolima Department in Colombia, in charge of coordinating and implementing human rights policies, as well as policies related to security and citizen coexistence. Eduardo also handled the management of the Security Fund and budgets allocated to the Secretary of Government.

Eduardo then joined the Cundinamarca Governorate from 2008 to 2011 as Director of Economic Studies and Public Policies. In this role, they coordinated research projects on productivity, competitiveness, employment, and economic conditions. Eduardo was also involved in formulating sectoral plans and development policies for the department.

In 2012, Eduardo became the Director of Fundamental Rights for the Ministry of Labor in Colombia. Eduardo was responsible for implementing the Social Dialogue policy between workers, employers, and the government. Eduardo also coordinated the National Strategy for the Prevention and Eradication of Child Labor and was involved in the development and evaluation of the government's Telework policy.

In the same year, they briefly served as the Manager of Ibal SA ESP, where they were responsible for planning and implementing investment policies and ensuring efficient service delivery to the company's 110,000 users.

From 2016 to 2017, Eduardo worked as a Consultant for Partners of the Americas, contributing to various projects. Eduardo then moved on to the Ministry of Justice and Law, where they supported the Telework program in prisons and coordinated the pilot program for social security schemes for incarcerated individuals. Eduardo also provided assistance to the Vice Ministry of Criminal Policy regarding the Juvenile Criminal Responsibility System.

Eduardo later joined the Ibero-American Social Security Organization as a Project Coordinator Consultant from 2017 to 2018.

Most recently, since 2018, Eduardo has been serving as a Project Director for Partners of the Americas.

Eduardo Bejarano has a diverse education history. Eduardo obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Columbia University between 2002 and 2004. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's degree in Political Economy at the University of Essex from 1998 to 1999. Eduardo'searlier education includes a Profesional degree in Finanzas y Relaciones Internacionales from Universidad Externado de Colombia, which was completed from 1990 to 1994.

In addition to their formal education, Eduardo Bejarano has also obtained several certifications. Eduardo completed the "Innovations in Investment Technology: Artificial Intelligence" course offered by Coursera and obtained the certification in June 2020. In May 2020, they received the "Time Value of Money" certification from Coursera Course Certificates. Eduardo also completed the "SA-8000 Introduction and Basic Auditor Training Course" offered by Social Accountability International in February 2020. Further, they obtained certifications in "The Science of Well-Being" from Coursera in January 2020 and in "De-Mystifying Mindfulness" from Coursera in January 2017.
