Jason Mickel

Jason Mickel currently serves as the Director of Public Works for Pasco County Government, a position held since May 2018. Prior experience includes roles at the Southwest Florida Water Management District as Water Supply Manager and Senior Planner/Project Manager from January 2008 to May 2018, and as Chief Environmental Scientist at Hillsborough County from March 2004 to December 2007. Additional experience encompasses a position as Water Resource Planner at the Southwest Florida Water Management District from October 2001 to February 2004 and as an Environmental Scientist with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection from January 1999 to October 2001. Jason Mickel holds a Master of Science in Environmental Management and a Master of Science in Environmental Science, both from the University of South Florida, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the same institution.
