Lori Spiva Janssen has a diverse and extensive background in human resources and consulting. Lori began their career as a Human Resources Representative at Walker Interactive Systems, where they provided support and guidance to a large number of employees. From there, they worked as a Human Resources Consultant at Electronic Data Systems, handling employee relations issues and responding to complaints from regulatory agencies. Lori then took on the role of Human Resources Manager at Wyzdom Solutions, where they developed a strategic vision for the HR department and led a team of three. Lori continued to grow their expertise as a Human Resources Lead - Western Region at Amicus FSB/Safeway Select Bank/XtraCash ATM, where they created and expanded a human resources department across seven states. Following this, Lori founded their own consultancy, Janssen Human Resources Consulting, where they consulted with multiple clients, developed HR policies, and managed legal complaints. Lori later co-owned and managed BytesOnsite.com, an award-winning computer services company. Lori then joined Verizon Wireless as a Human Resource Business Partner, supporting call center and West Area employees and guiding executive leadership through closures and transitions. Subsequently, they served as a Human Resources Analyst II at Placer County, providing HR support to multiple departments and initiating various initiatives. Lori transitioned to the role of Human Resources Manager at PASCO scientific before progressing to their current position as Director of Human Resources, overseeing company-wide HR activities and collaborating with senior leadership on strategy and compliance. Additionally, they temporarily held the position of Director of Customer Experience at PASCO scientific, where they focused on customer service and technical support. Alongside their professional roles, Lori has also worked as an independent Human Resources Consultant, conducting salary surveys and sourcing candidates for various clients. Lori Spiva Janssen holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources Management from California State University-Sacramento. Lori also possesses a Certification in Employee Relations Law from the Institute of Applied Management and Law. In addition, they have obtained a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute/Society for Human Resources Management. For their high school education, Lori attended St. Patrick-St. Vincent High School, where they pursued an AP College Prep curriculum.

Lori has further expanded their knowledge and expertise through additional certifications. Lori received the Civil Treatment Basics (Employee and Management) certification from Employment Learning Innovations in December 2012. In August 2006, they obtained the Lean Six Sigma Fundamentals certification from Verizon Wireless. Additionally, Lori acquired expertise in Employee Relations Law through certification from the Institute of Applied Management and Law in May 2000. Lori also holds certifications in CPR/AED/First Aid from the American Red Cross (May 2021) and Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Behavioral Health (August 2021).
