Pascua Yaqui Tribe
Herminia "Minnie" Frias has extensive experience in leadership and project coordination within Native communities. Currently serving as a member of the Tribal Council for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe since June 2016, Minnie previously held roles as Project Coordinator for the Arizona American Indian Oral Health Initiative and Southwest Regional Manager at Blue Stone Strategy Group. Additionally, Minnie worked as Partnerships Manager for the Native Nations Institute, overseeing a significant partnership aimed at supporting Native Nations in the Upper Midwest. Earlier career highlights include serving as Chairwoman for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe and a fellowship with the Kaiser Family Foundation. Minnie holds a Master’s degree in Public Health and a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry from the University of Arizona.

Pascua Yaqui Tribe
The Pascua Yaqui Tribe is a sovereign government agency which provides health, education, social services, vocational training and housing services to all tribal members. The Pascua Yaqui Tribe gained federal recognition as an Indian tribe on September 18, 1978 and passed its Constitution in 1988.
