Anar Karimov

Anar Karimov has extensive experience in compliance and legal roles, currently serving as the Chief Compliance Officer at PASHA Bank OJSC since November 2007. In addition, Anar holds multiple positions related to compliance, including Chairperson of the Ethics and Compliance Commission and Compliance Director within the bank. Anar is also the Chairman of the Compliance Committee at the Azerbaijan Banks Association since October 2015 and serves on the Advisory Board of Junior Achievement Azerbaijan from June 2023 to June 2025. Anar's academic background includes a Master's degree in International Law and Legal Studies and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from Baku State University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Loans from Azerbaijan State University of Economics. Anar further enhanced professional credentials with a Professional Certificate of Competency in Compliance from ATTF, Luxembourg.
