Gaurav Chauhan

Gaurav Chauhan is an experienced professional in the biopharmaceutical industry, currently serving as the Director and Head of Cell Culture Process Development at Spark Therapeutics, Inc. since October 2021. Gaurav is also an Expert Panel Member for the United States Pharmacopoeia, contributing as a volunteer since May 2019. Previous roles include Principal Scientist and Associate Principal Scientist at Merck from September 2016 to October 2021, as well as various scientific positions at MedImmune/AstraZeneca and BD Biosciences. Gaurav began a career in research as a Research Associate at SAFC Biosciences in 2005. Gaurav holds a Master of Science degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from The University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
