Joe Simms

Joe Simms has extensive experience as a technology executive and advisor. Joe served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Passenger from 2023 to the present, leading the company's technological strategy. Prior to that, Joe was the CTO at Uptime App from 2019 to 2023, where they played a key role in driving technological innovation. Joe also worked as an Angel Investor & Advisor at Coconut | Techstars '17 and Thriva Health, providing guidance and support to startups. Additionally, Joe served as an Angel Investor & Advisor and Chief Product Officer (Interim) at Patch UK in 2017. Joe has also worked as a Mentor & Consultant as a self-employed individual from 2017 to 2019. Earlier in their career, Joe held the position of CTO at SurfStitch and Surfdome.com, where they led the development and implementation of innovative global retail platforms. Prior to that, they were the Director of their own company, Joe Simms Limited. Joe's expertise and contributions have been instrumental in supporting the growth and success of various organizations, including serving as the CTO and Founding Member of Notonthehighstreet, a prominent e-commerce business in the UK.

Joe Simms began their education at BETHS Grammar School from 1991 to 1998, where they completed their A Levels. Joe then attended Loughborough University from 1999 to 2002, earning a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electronic and Computer Systems Engineering. In 2017, they enrolled in Imperial College London to pursue a Master's degree in Environmental Technology/Business and Environment, which they completed in 2018. Additionally, Joe participated in the Blockchain Strategy Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, although the specific duration of this program is not provided.
