Youcef Rahal

Youcef Rahal has extensive experience in the field of software engineering. Most recently, they worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Pasteur Labs & ISI, where they utilized their expertise to develop innovative software solutions. Youcef also served as an Advisor in MLOps at Archipelo, contributing their insights and knowledge in the field. Prior to that, Youcef held the role of Staff Software Engineer and Core Engineering Lead at Lightning AI, where they played a crucial role in the development of their software systems. Additionally, they worked at Borealis AI as an ML Engineering Lead and Senior ML Software Engineer, where they provided technical leadership and expertise. Youcef was an AI Developer at Element AI, contributing to the development of artificial intelligence technologies. Youcef also gained experience at Autodesk as a Senior Software Engineer, where they focused on Fusion 360 Web Access, bringing professional-grade CAD to the browser. Youcef worked as a Senior Software Architect at Vrvana, where they created a multiplatform C++ SDK for virtual reality headsets. Youcef Rahal holds an impressive educational background in the fields of physics, cosmology, electrical engineering, and self-driving cars. Youcef obtained their BSc (DES) in Physics (Radiation Physics) from the Université des Sciences et de la Technologie 'Houari Boumediène' between 1995 and 1999. Subsequently, they pursued an MSc (DEA) in Physics (Quantum Physics) from Pierre and Marie Curie University from 1999 to 2000. Youcef Rahal then completed their PhD in Physics (Cosmology) from the same university from 2000 to 2004.

In 2005, Youcef Rahal diversified their educational background by pursuing an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the Université de Sherbrooke, where they successfully completed the program between 2005 and 2007. More recently, they ventured into the field of self-driving cars and robotics. Youcef Rahal obtained a Nanodegree in Self-Driving Cars from Udacity in 2016-2017.
