Leon Hardy

Leon Hardy is the current Chief Operating Officer at Patagonia Gold Plc. Prior to their current position, Hardy was the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President at Coeur d'Alene Mines from May 2003 to December 2012. Hardy was responsible for the initial startup and full operation of the company's large open pit in Argentina. Under their leadership, the company achieved full production on schedule with mining rates of 400 k tons per day and milling at 88.000 TPD. The project capital was 1.1 B and the company employed 10,000 people during construction. The mine is still in operation today.

From August 2002 to April 2003, Hardy served as Mine Superintendent at Drummond Company, Inc. In this role, they were responsible for the overall operation of the mine and ensuring that safety and production goals were met.

Before their time at Drummond Company, Hardy served as a Senior Operations Consultant at Apex Silver Mines Corporation from January 1999 to May 2001. In this role, they provided operational consulting services to the company's silver mining operations in South America.
