Michael Guthrie

Michael Guthrie is an experienced educator currently serving as a 5th Grade Math and Science teacher at Paterson Public Schools since September 2022. With a robust background in educational roles, Michael has also worked as an In-School Suspension Teacher and Autism/Multi Disabled Paraprofessional at Mission One, where effective instructional strategies were implemented for children with special needs. Previous experience includes serving as a substitute teacher and reading specialist in various school districts, enhancing literacy and math skills among students. Additionally, Michael has a long-standing role as a college and high school football official since 1994, including officiating the 2016 NCAA Division III National Championship. Michael holds a Master's Degree in Childhood Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, both from Mercy University.
