Susan Farrell

Susan Farrell is a mission-focused, international nonprofit finance professional with 20 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, strategic planning and implementation, grants administration, new business development, accounting and audit, and capacity building and training.

She first joined Pathfinder in 1997 as our senior financial analyst. Since then she has served as manager of budgeting, planning, & reporting; director of financial planning, budgeting, & reporting; director of finance; and interim chief financial officer.

In 2014, Susan was promoted to director of field finance, responsible for fiscal oversight and financial capacity building of all Pathfinder’s country offices and financial management of all grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements from start-up to close-out. In this role, she also oversaw the rollout, implementation, and training related to new accounting software and documented policies and procedures to ensure standardization of accounting and grants management practices in all Pathfinder’s offices. In 2018, she became our chief administrative officer.

Susan holds a BA in accounting and business administration from Gordon College.
