Dr. Jamilla Rajab

Consultant Haematologist at Lancet Group of Laboratories

Dr. Jamilla Rajab has worked in various roles in the medical field since 1987. Dr. Jamilla began their career as a Senior Lecturer in Haematology and Blood Transfusion at the University of Nairobi, School of Medicine. In 1990, they became a Public Health Consultant at the Ministry of Health in Kenya. From 1987 to 1996, they were a Consultant Haematologist and Paedriatic Oncologist at Kenyatta National Hospital. From 1996 to 2002, they worked as a Consultant Haematologist at The Nairobi Hospital. From 2002 to 2011, they were a Consultant Haematologist at MATER MISERICORDIAE HOSPITAL. Dr. Jamilla has been a Consultant Haematologist at Pathologists Lancet Kenya (PLK) since 2011.

Dr. Jamilla Rajab completed their MBChB at the University of Nairobi between 1978 and 1983. Dr. Jamilla then went on to obtain their MMed. Path in Haematology and Paedriatic Oncology from the University of Nairobi between 1984 and 1987. In 2005, they earned their Masters of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Nairobi. In 2014, they became a Fellow and Founder Member of the College of Pathologists of Eastern, Central and Southern Africa (COPECSA) and completed their Hematological Pathology Residency Program.
