Marian Matney is a Pathologists’ Assistant at Pathology and Cytology Laboratories, Inc. since August 2023, previously working as a Histotechnologist in the Immunohistochemistry Department at ARUP Laboratories from September 2018 to August 2021. Marian began the journey in histotechnology as a Student Intern at the Medical University of South Carolina from August 2017 to May 2018, completing clinical rotations and coursework to meet ASCP certification requirements. Educational qualifications include a Master of Health Science in Pathologists’ Assistant from Eastern Virginia Medical School (2021-2023), an Animal and Veterinary Sciences degree from Clemson University (2012-2016), an HTL Certification in Histologic Technology from the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences (2017-2018), and a Semester Abroad program at Massey University (2015). Marian holds a high school diploma from Hilton Head Preparatory School (2000-2012).
