Carol Elvira César has a wealth of experience in the field of life sciences. Carol began their career in 2007 as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Universidad de Cantabria. Carol then moved to the University of Nottingham in 2008, and the CNB-CSIC and CBMSO-CSIC in 2009 and 2011 respectively, both as a Juan de la Cierva Postdoctoral Fellow. In 2012, they joined Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Technical Application Scientist, providing support and technical assistance to Life Technologies customers in EMEA. In 2016, they moved to QCMD as a Technical Support Specialist and Project Leader. In 2017, they returned to Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Business Development Manager and Technical Sales Specialist. In 2019, they joined Sartorius Stedim BioOutsource as a Business Development Manager, and in 2020, they moved to BioReliance as a Regional Account Manager. Currently, they are employed by PathoQuest as a European Key Account Manager.
Carol Elvira César obtained a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from Universidad de Cantabria between 2003 and 2007. Prior to that, they earned an MSc in Genetic Epidemiology from The University of Sheffield between 2001 and 2002, and a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Leicester between 1997 and 2001. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn in January 2022.
