Kay Bucksch

Kay Bucksch has more than 10 years of work experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Kay is currently the CTO at Patient21, a position they have held since May 2019. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2019, they worked at MeinDach GmbH as a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead, where they led the migration of a Ruby on Rails application to Kotlin microservices and optimized processes and led the development team. From 2017 to 2018, they were a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead at ENVION AG, where they planned and implemented a cloud software for monitoring and controlling distributed mining hardware. Kay also worked as the CEO of Unicorn-IT GmbH from 2014 to 2017. Additionally, they founded and served as CEO of 1a-Pumpen, a company focused on pump sales, from 2014 to 2017. Kay was a co-founder of halb1, a web development company, from 2014 to 2015. Kay has also held software development roles at GoEuro, Friendsurance, Groupon, and ecareer – Your IT Recruitment Specialists, where they gained experience in various technologies such as Java, Spring, Hibernate, JavaScript, jQuery, and more.

Kay Bucksch received a Master's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Technische Informatik from FHTW Berlin. They completed their studies at this institution from 2004 to 2008.
