Senior Clinical Program Officer - Healthcare Delivery And Disparities Research Program at Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute

Erica Shelton has a diverse work experience in the field of medicine and healthcare. Erica started their career as a Resident Physician at the Johns Hopkins Preventive Medicine Residency in 2007 and continued in this role until 2009. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Resident Physician at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Following this, they joined the Johns Hopkins Hospital Emergency Medicine Department as a Research Fellow and Instructor, a position they held until 2015. In 2015, they became an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

In 2020, Erica Shelton joined the American Institutes for Research as a Principal Health Clinician Researcher. Erica worked in this role until 2022. Additionally, in 2022, they joined the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) as a Senior Clinical Program Officer in the Healthcare Delivery and Disparities Research Program.
