Holly Ramsawh

Program Officer, Science, Clinical Effectiveness Research at Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute

Holly Ramsawh, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of research and psychology. Holly began their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Brown University in 2005. After that, they worked as an Assistant Project Scientist at UCSD from 2009 to 2012, where they developed protocols for clinical trials and managed the operations of a study on anxiety disorders. In 2012, they became a Staff Psychologist at the VA Healthcare System in San Diego for a brief period before joining the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress, Department of Psychiatry, USUHS. At USUHS, they served as a Research Psychologist and later as a Research Assistant Professor until 2015. Their responsibilities included conducting research on traumatic stress and providing clinical effectiveness research as a Program Officer at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) from 2015 onwards.

Holly Ramsawh, Ph.D., completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Hampton University from 1996 to 2000. Holly then pursued their Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Boston University, graduating in 2005. Following that, they engaged in a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Brown University from 2005 to 2007. To further their studies, they completed another Postdoctoral Fellowship at UC San Diego from 2007 to 2009.
