Jeffrey Tom

Jeffrey Tom has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Jeffrey started their career in 2003 as a Pediatric Resident at Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA. Jeffrey then worked as a Pediatrician at Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center from 2006 to 2008. During this time, they also served as a Community-Based Participatory Research Fellow at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine.

In 2008, Jeffrey became a General Pediatrics Research Fellow at the University of Washington, Dept. of Pediatrics. Jeffrey continued their research work as an Assistant Investigator at the Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research from 2010 to 2014. Most recently, in 2022, Jeffrey joined the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) as a member of the Advisory Panel on Healthcare Delivery and Disparities Research. This role includes advising and assisting in identifying national priorities and establishing a patient-centered research agenda.

Following their undergraduate studies, Jeffrey Tom enrolled at Tufts University School of Medicine and obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from 1999 to 2003.

In 2006, they earned a Master's Degree in Clinical Research from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. Additionally, they obtained a certification called the American Board of Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics in 2006, although the specific month is not known.
