Michael Southern

Mike Southern has over 25 years of human resource management experience, the last 10 at PatientKeeper, where he has overseen a doubling of the company’s employee base and has successfully integrated innovative HR practices with parent company HCA Healthcare.

Prior to PatientKeeper, Southern worked for a broad spectrum of companies from professional employer organizations to Fortune 100 firms, including Philips Medical Systems and McKesson. He has extensive experience building effective teams, managing organizational change, and implementing human resources programs, systems, and practices in a wide range of company environments ranging from rapid growth, pre-IPO to large-scale public entities.

Southern holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Economics from SUNY Plattsburgh, and earned his MBA with a concentration in Human Resources from the College of St. Rose.
