Robert J. Day, M.S.W., M. Div. has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Robert J. Day, began their career in 1988 as a Social Worker III with the State of Alaska, Division of Family & Youth Services, where they investigated reports of harm to children and provided services for families. From 1990 to 1998, they served as a Pastor in two different churches, First Baptist Church and Alliance Bible Church.
In 1999, they transitioned into academia as an Assistant Professor at the University of the Cumberlands, teaching various courses related to social work and sociology. Robert J. Day, continued in this role until 2003 when they became the Program Director of First Steps, a position they held until 2007.
