Don Itzkoff

Don Itzkoff has a diverse and extensive work experience. Don is currently serving as the Chief Policy Officer at Patriot Rail Company since January 2021. Before that, they were the Founder of Transport Strategies from September 2020 to January 2021. Don also held positions as the Vice President Government Relations and Public Affairs at Wabtec Corporation from January 2018 to September 2020, and as the Executive Counsel, Government Affairs & Policy at GE Transportation from 2010 to 2017.

Prior to their roles in the transportation industry, Don worked as a Partner at Nossaman LLP from 2006 to 2010 and as Counsel and Partner at Foley & Lardner LLP from 1999 to 2006. Don also served as the Deputy Administrator at the Federal Railroad Administration from 1994 to 1999 and as Counsel/Senior Counsel at the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation from 1991 to 1993. Don started their career as an Associate Attorney at Reed Smith LLP from 1986 to 1991.

Don Itzkoff has a JD degree from the University of Michigan Law School. Don also obtained an AB, magna cum laude, from Brown University. Additionally, they hold a Doctor of Law - JD degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
