Nestor Vela

Nestor Vela has been working in the industry since 1996. Nestor began their career as the owner of New Concept Lawn & Landscape, Inc. In 2010, they became a Business Development Executive for WARM Global, LLC. where they implemented gasification and anaerobic digestion of MSW and biomass in Latin America, gave public speeches to undergraduate students in Colombia, and conducted research and development on "Energy Crops". In 2013, they co-founded Waste Environmental Solutions, WES, LLC. where they served as COO and provided strategic consulting about biomass to energy and logistics for Energy Crops. In 2019, they became a Sales Marketing Consultant for CharGrow. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as an Inside Sales - Turfgrass and Soil Consultant for Patten Seed Company/Super-Sod.

Nestor Vela obtained a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy with a field of study in Agroecology and Sustainable Agriculture from the Universidad del Tolima in 1984. Nestor also obtained an Agronomist degree in Engineering from the same university in 1984. Prior to that, they attended Colegio Berchmans from 1967 to 1977.
